Back for the 16th year, our popular Beatrix Potter's Experience package is a great way to enjoy your Lakeland holiday.
This amazing break is available for stays between 1st April 2025 and 30th November 2025, please book early to avoid disappointment.
Our two-night break is the perfect way for fans of the beloved children’s author Beatrix Potter to experience the Lake District life and sights that inspired her.
This break includes entry to The World Of Beatrix Potter, the ultimate attraction for fans. After viewing a short film introducing visitors to the author, her stories, and illustrations, you will then move through to the main exhibition where you will then experience all the sights, sounds and smells of the Potter books. All your favourite characters are there including Benjamin Bunny, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Squirrel Nutkin, Jemima Puddle-duck, and, of course, Peter Rabbit.
You can also take a cruise on Lake Windermere and see for yourself the stunning scenery that inspired Miss Potter’s famous illustrations. Entrance to The World of Beatrix Potter and the cruise with Windermere Lake Cruises is included in the cost of your break..
After all this adventure why not come back to the hotel for a sparkling cream tea before freshening up and changing for dinner?
This great value package includes 2 nights of dinner, bed, and breakfast at Lindeth Howe Hotel (dinner is a £30.00 per person daytime and dinner allocation), staying at the only 4-star hotel in the world that is a former house owned by Beatrix. Your break also includes a sparkling cream tea on arrival to enjoy in our lounges and a box of 12 homemade chocolates in your room. The package runs from March to September inclusive and must be booked at least 3 days prior to arrival to guarantee a seat with the wonderful mountain goat. Free parking is available at the hotel, along with a charging point for electric cars (app download and payment directly via the App is required), we can also arrange return transfers from Windermere rail station to the hotel for a small additional cost.
Easy access
We are pleased to offer 3 beautiful ground floor rooms that are wheelchair friendly and all have a wet room style bathroom we have no steps on the ground floor or in any of the public areas and the entrance from the lower car park is also step-free.
Prices and Terms and Conditions.
Prices start from only £174.00 per person per night, based on 2 adults sharing a standard room. Upgrades are available and children aged between 5 and 13 are charged at 50% of the adult rate when sharing a room with 2 full paying adults. Daytime and evening food is an allocation of £30.00 per adult per night per stay and the children on the 50% rate as mentioned above can order any one starter, one main course and one dessert each from the Children's menu. A card is required to guarantee the booking, if you need to cancel, please do so within 72 hours prior to arrival, if the cancellation is within 72 hours of arrival, the first-night stay will be charged to the card we have on file, in the event of a no show, the full cost of the stay will be charged to your card that we have on file.

It is very easy to book your stay with us, either pop the dates you would like to visit in our booking engine, or you can call us on +44 (0) 1539445759 and one of the team will be happy to book your stay with us.
We will require a card to guarantee the room, should you cancel within 72 hours before arrival, the payment for the first night will be taken, should you fail to show for your reservation the full payment will be taken, should you cancel 73 hours or more before your arrival no charge will be made.
If you are booking 3 or more rooms it will be considered a 'group' booking and the above flexible cancellation no longer applies full payment will be required at the time of booking, this is non-refundable and non-transferable.
We recommend that you take out appropriate holiday insurance for your holiday.
