Once owned by the beloved Beatrix Potter, this historic house carries a sense of literary magic, complemented by beautifully landscaped gardens and cosy interiors.

From super sandwiches with inventive fillings to freshly prepared savoury bites and handmade sweets, each creation reflects the expertise of our talented kitchen team. Accessable to everyone, Accessibility is important to us, and we want every guest to feel comfortable during their visit. We have parking right by the front door, and Blue Badge spaces can be reserved on request. The hotel entrance and the entire ground floor are step‑free, with low‑pile carpets and tables set at a height suitable for most wheelchairs. The top terrace of the garden is also step‑free and accessible via the ramp beside the summerhouse from the car park. If you have any specific access needs, please feel free to speak with the team before your visit or on arrival — we’re always happy to help.
