Once home to Beatrix Potter, this popular Lake District boasts a fantastic restaurant, offering seasonal specials made from locally sourced ingredients.

So whether you are looking for a fine dining experience or somewhere cosy and comfortable to enjoy a drink and some light bites with friends, enjoy mouth-watering dishes created by our Head Chef Ryan Lee and his fantastic team in our dining room or well-stocked lounge bar from 12noon - 9pm.  Not staying for the night? Not to worry, non-residents are always welcome. Please advise our Restaurant Manager if you require any information concerning the following allergens that may be contained in our dishes, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, celery, mustard seeds, milk, sesame, sulphites, molluscs, peanuts or soybeans.

A very warm welcome from all of the team here at Lindeth Howe. We are very fortunate to be blessed with a world-class larder of fresh produce here in the Lake District. The menus in our restaurant follow the seasons around the county and surrounding areas to bring you a range of delicious and carefully prepared English dishes with a Cumbrian twist.

A message from our Restaurant & Bar Manager,

Having worked at Lindeth Howe for over 15 years, and being the restaurant manager for 12 years, I love to welcome familiar faces to my restaurant and of course meet new people.

While working here I met and fell in love with a beautiful lady, Nickisha, who I very luckily married and have 3 wonderful children with, you may see her about the hotel as she is the Head Housekeeper.

I can't wait to welcome you into my restaurant and serve you some of your favourate drinks, from the bar, if your feeling adventurous, maybe I could tempt you to try some of my favourites!
