Lindeth Howe Hotel on the outskirts of Bowness on Windermere is hosting its second annual Holiday Market on the 8th of December between the hours of 12noon and 3.30pm with free parking and free entry for all.

Showcasing local crafters and makers, you will have the opportunity to buy a truly unique Christmas Gift for your loved ones this year. From pocket money gifts, stocking fillers and of course the ‘big gift’ you will be sure to find something for everyone. Stalls selling items such as folded books, floral displays, jewellery, leather works, photography, lamps, home décor, crocheted greeting cards and sculptures.

Tony Holden General Manager of Lindeth Howe said “When we decided to host a Christmas Market, the idea was to provide a space for local independent makers to sell their items, but with Santa, we felt that both he and his helpful happy elf should be there for all, and we are fully aware that Christmas can be a difficult time for many, so in exchange for a visit and a photo opportunity with Santa and his friend we would love for you to bring a donation for the food bank. Our Christmas decorations will be up and we cannot wait to welcome you”

What could be better than starting the festive season with a visit to see Santa, lunch or afternoon, tea, luxury hot chocolates or, should you be tempted, a Christmas cocktail, all topped off with a little bit of shopping? Whilst you are enjoying all the above you will also be supporting independent small businesses and of course, a local charity which does amazing work in the community.

The hotel is completely accessible and step-free across the ground floor areas. An updated list of items that the food banks urgently need can be found on their website

We request that you complete this form in full with as much information as possible the cost is £20.00 per stall.

Application is not a promise of acceptance and you will be notified by email or your preferred contact method prior to the event if you have been successful or not.
If you are successful, payment in full for your stand will be required within 14 days otherwise your acceptance will be withdrawn and your spot will be offered to someone else. Offers of places will be as soon as possible to give everyone sufficent notice.
When we hosted the one in December 2023, we had over 140 people through the doors.
All payments are to be made in full and are non-refundable.
You must have public liability insurance.
