The Festive Season

At Lindeth Howe, the season of goodwill fills our hearts and hallways with joy. From twinkling lights to comforting feasts, we’ve lovingly planned a celebration that promises wonder for all.

We begin with our Pre-Christmas Escape available from 1st November 2026 until 22nd December (subject to availability). This cosy retreat is offered on selected nights only and excludes group or event bookings. Places are delightfully limited, so we recommend reserving early to secure your sparkling escape. From 1st December, our beloved Christmas decorations will fill every corner with seasonal splendour.

Guests joining us for our Christmas Break will arrive on 23rd December for four magical nights. Why not read more and imagine yourself sipping mulled wine by the fire with us this Christmas?

Between Christmas and New Year, when time twirls and no one’s quite sure what day it is, we invite you to embrace the cheer of our Crimbo Limbo break—it’s just the tonic for those dreamy, in-between days.

Beginning 1st December, our Festive Lunch Menu and Festive Afternoon Tea make their merry debut. Available daily with prior booking, and we kindly ask for any dietary needs to be shared at the time of reservation.

Planning a festive feast for your friends or colleagues? We’ll sprinkle it with seasonal magic. For parties over 10 guests, a pre-order will be required—but rest assured, we’ll guide you through it with ease.

Then on 6th December, our Holiday Market returns for its fourth festive year. It’s a jubilant day of sparkle and surprises, featuring:

• Free visits to Santa and his ever-smiling helper elf

• Local artisans with handcrafted treasures

• Feathered friends from Lake District Falconry (meet them from 1.30pm–2.30pm)

Entry, parking, meeting Santa, and greeting the birds are completely free—we kindly ask for a small donation to support Windermere Food Bank, to help spread joy beyond our walls.

On 24th December, non-residents are warmly invited for lunch, light bites, or dinner.

Christmas Day lunch is open to non-residents by timed booking, with festive delights for all dietary preferences including vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly menus.

On Boxing Day, we welcome you to join us for lunch or dinner—advance reservations and dietary notes are kindly requested.

From 27th to 30th December, bookings are open for lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea—perfect for sweet post-Christmas gatherings.
