Melanie & Ryan's Special Day
Some weddings don’t just fill a venue — they fill an entire weekend with joy, and this beautiful celebration was exactly that.
With exclusive use of the hotel, the festivities began the night before with a relaxed BBQ, where friends and family gathered under soft evening light, sharing stories, laughter, and that unmistakable feeling that something special was about to unfold.
By the time the wedding day arrived, the air was already charged with love. What followed was a day overflowing with happy tears, heartfelt moments, and the most breathtaking flowers — all wrapped around a couple who radiate joy, kindness, and good vibes in everything they do. Their energy was infectious, their smiles constant, and their love impossible to miss.
It was the kind of celebration that stays with a team long after the last dance. A weekend defined by warmth, laughter, and the sheer happiness shared by two wonderful people and the incredible family and friends who surrounded them. And even now, long after the confetti has settled, they remain very much a part of the Lindeth Howe story — and of our extended family.
Melanie & Ryan met at Ryan's best man's party, with great forward planning Melanie drunkenly told everyone that Ryan was her husband! After attempting to 'play it cool' someone told Ryan that Mel was a teacher, so putting his 'best foot forward' Ryan told her he was a geography teacher, completely untrue, Ryan was, and still is a highly skilled accountant, not quite a geography teacher, but it worked! After coming clean about his true profession, a real love story was in the making!
Melanie & Ryan had a good idea of how they wanted their wedding day to be, they viewed a few larger venues but none of them gave them the wow factor, they hastened to add that while they were lovely, they left each of them feeling there was something missing.
As soon as they stepped into the lounge at Lindeth Howe, they fell head over heels in love with the place. Its unique style, beauty and quirkiness made it stand out from all the others. They loved how everywhere you look there is something new to discover. They knew they wanted somewhere where all their guests could stay, Lindeth Howe offered them a venue where they could do that, exclusively theirs for them, their friends and family. In their own words. it was like a big house party, but with added friendly and caring staff.
They were lucky enough to have some amazing weather, not just on the wedding day, but also the day before which gave them the opportunity to enjoy a BBQ the night before the wedding which all their guests attended, it was cooked in the grounds by the hotel chefs and this extended the wedding weekend and made it a bit more special.
What a day they had!
While Lindeth Howe was the last venue they viewed, it instantly became their number one.
Not long after their wedding Mel & Ryan headed off for an amazing Honeymoon, among over places they visited, Bali was on their list and it certainly looks like they had an amazing time!
