Sally & Luke's Special Day
Some weddings feel like they’re written straight from the pages of a love story, and Sally & Luke’s June 2023 celebration was exactly that — a perfect blend of adventure, elegance, and beautifully chilled‑out moments shared with the people they love most.
Their day began with a ceremony filled with emotion, made even more magical by the incredible Daily Piano, whose music wrapped the room in a soft, romantic atmosphere. It was the kind of soundtrack that lingers in the memory long after the final note fades. From there, guests moved into our Hilltop Room for a relaxed and joyful wedding breakfast, where laughter and stories flowed as easily as the sunshine outside.
Then came the part of the day that made their wedding truly unique. As part of their Love Story package, Sally & Luke set off on a three‑hour tour with Mountain Goat in their Mercedes Sprinter mini coaches — a chance to choose their own route, visit places meaningful to them, and capture the most breathtaking, personal photographs. The fabulous Chris Freer joined them on the journey, using the ever‑changing Lake District backdrop to create images that were not only stunning, but deeply connected to who they are as a couple.
When they returned to the hotel, our team were ready with canapés, drinks, and a beautifully relaxed Hilltop Room transformed for unwinding and reminiscing. Soft seating, gentle ambience, and the glow of a perfect day created the ideal setting for guests to settle in before the evening buffet was served at 7pm.
Sally & Luke’s wedding was a beautiful balance of adventure and calm — a day shaped by love, laughter, and the freedom to make every moment their own.

We found Lindeth Howe when we were looking for wedding day ideas that would be unique and memorable. As soon as we found the 'Love Story' package we knew this would be perfect with the Mountain Goat mini bus tour giving us the opportunity to share amazing Lake District locations with our guests.
Clare and Liz took care of everything and made the planning experience so enjoyable. Their communication and guidance was faultless and we loved the design they created for our wedding table stationary. The venue is beautiful and the staff are kind, professional and efficient. We were really impressed by the quality of food and wedding cake which was included in the package.
The minibus tour was expertly driven. We are so happy for the variety of wedding photos we have to look back on.
We fell in love with Lindeth Howe due to it's Location, minibus tour 'Love Story' package, friendly and accommodating staff - Clare made us feel at ease straight away in our first show around, venue has character and idyllic gardens, history of the building.
